Working out with a friend in the gym

Ok so my friend joined my gym last night and it was nice to have someone to talk to but I got home and was talking to Erik and I said yea nice conversation I was sweating but I didn't get a full work out. I can't chat and go at a lesiurely pace so tonight I will get back to my running, riding for more than 2 miles and getting on the elliptical for my 3 times during the night. I never really wanted to tell my friends this isn't a good time to chat or I don't have a few minutes to do this or that for you I was a people pleaser.
I am very excited to have her with me because honestly sometimes when I go and I am alone in the gym I worried if I passed out heaven forbid had a heart attack...she is a nurse LOL she can help and call for help. So tonight I will be kicking it up a LOT!
I want to be down 5 lbs this week....Erik told me I should be able to lose 20 lbs this month the way I planned on working out and following WW plan.
This is just me Michelle trying to find the skinny under my fat!
XOXO

Wow Michelle, I'm so impressed! Your workout plan is epic. I've always done better working out alone, but I can see your point about having a nurse around.

Hi Michelle!! Just had to see who was behind the beautiful face of one of my "followers"! You are hardcore in your workouts! Awesome! I know its hard to tell friends that sometimes what we need is for them to be quiet, but you deserve to get in a great workout!! Sounds like your hubby is uber supportive! Must read your blog more closely!! GO MICHELLE! :o) Dani

I moved last year and lost my work out friend. I miss someone to work out with so I work out at home. It's probably for the better, because I tend to make funny faces and grunt sometimes when I get a really good work out. I also turn red and sweat a lot...it's not pretty.
Keep up the good work! We're rooting for you.

I used to work out with a friend last year and was thinking of encouraging her to join me again. But then I had the exact thought you posted about. I'm moving much faster on the treadmill now (versus last year) and I won't be able to talk. I need to zone out to the music to make it work. Glad I'm not alone in my thinking. (And, I'll just have to rely on gym staff when I have MY heart attack.) :)

I totally agree! I don't like working out with anyone. It's a much better workout that way. Although now and then it's nice to have someone come with me.
